Remove the Dell Inspiron N5010 Keyboard

Unplug and turn off the Dell Inspiron computer.

Touch an unpainted metal surface in the work area to ground yourself. This is necessary to prevent damage to the internal parts of your computer from static electricity.

Lift the hinge cover gently from your Dell Inspiron with a flat screwdriver. Follow the owner’s manual for the exact location on your laptop.

Locate and remove the small screws holding the keyboard in place with a Phillips screwdriver. Set the screws aside.

Lift the old Dell Inspiron keyboard from the laptop, starting with the side nearest to the screen.
