Many iPhone 4S users who were facing the battery issue may continue to face the same problem, notwithstanding the release of iOS 5.1 update. iPhone manufacturer, Cupertino based Apple had assured the users facing the issue that the problem would be resolved following the iOS 5.1 update.
Though there are readers who say that their problem was resolved and they were able to fix the problem, nonetheless many others said the update didn’t make any difference and iPhone 4S battery got exhausted in no time, despite light use and very rare data usage.
Apple had said that the iOS 5.1 update included fixes for battery problem that many users said they faced. But apparently it did little to solve the issue.
iPhone 4S is the best smart phone available in the market right now and people say notwithstanding the fact that it was not a full fledge new Apple iPhone, given the fact that it retained the old body of iPhone 4, nonetheless it came with features that made it among the best.
Some people meanwhile have found novel ways to make their iPhone 4S battery work a little longer. A reader says, “ iOS 5.0.0 did nothing obvious to my battery life on my iPhone 4… I installed iOS 5.0.1 and it has been an absolute nightmare ever since. I have shut down all location services and most notifications and I tediously close all my apps whenever possible. However, I am still never able to make it through a full day now. I have resorted to instead placing my iPhone in Airplane Mode instead of just putting it on vibrate like I used to do for several hours each day when I was attending university lectures. That seems to do the trick, so it’s obviously something to do with wireless connectivity – and it’s not limited to 3G, either; a wifi connection will kill the battery now almost just as fast”.
Another reader has this to say, “I don’t doubt some people are having battery issues, but I have two iPhone 4Ss (both Verizon), and both are getting absolutely excellent battery life. We have everything turned on (Location Services, iCloud, Find My Friends, Bluetooth, etc.) and each phone lasts between 2 and 4 days with moderate use (Safari, Maps, maybe 5-10 short-medium calls per day), or over 1 day with heavy use (games, long calls, lots of Maps usage)”.
